A New Approach to Sustainable Electricity
For over a decade and a half, we have considered the problem of how to efficiently solve the problem of balancing demand and supply on an electricity network. This problem is as old as modern electricity networks.
In electricity networks supplied predominantly by fossil fuels and nuclear energy, it has generally been possible to provide some stability, by using control systems and communications technologies. Problems have remained where peak load sometimes exceeds peak supply.
The introduction of significant amounts of renewable power sources, which are generally intermittent, to electrical networks has made the problem of balancing electrical networks more challenging.
To overcome this challenge, we have adapted research outputs from our work and the work of leading researchers from around the world. The results of this focused effort is an affordable system, that can be implemented in low and high income economies alike.
